Rock and Roll!

This weekend we went to spend time with our sweet friends Brock, Sarah and Mercer.  Libbie LOVED playing with Mercer.  Mercer pulled her around in a little wagon, they played together in the playroom and they giggle and gabbed all weekend.  They were just precious together.  Sarah got more of them playing together but here's a few of them hanging out at the race while the Mommies were running. Sarah and I ran the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon and we sure did ROCK IT!!

Libbie is really getting down the walking thing.  It's amazing to me that she was only able to crawl just a few weeks ago and now she is standing and taking steps.  Here she is practicing her walkin' skills at the Alamodome!!

My silly little mini!

Love these two with all my heart!

10 Months and counting....

I cannot get over the fact that Libs is going to be one in just a couple of months.  She is the coolest thing ever.  She is standing, taking three to four steps at a time, saying mama, dada, uh-oh, laughing like crazy, and playing peek-a-boo with herself.  She LOVES Beta.  Just yesterday, she was hugging her.  She hugs me real tight too and it absolutely melt my heart.  She could hug me all day for all I care.  She loves books!!  There are many times that she will be sitting and "reading" her books and just giggle, like she came to a funny part. She also likes to be chased around the rooms upstairs.  And she loves, loves, loves bath time!

Here are some fun pictures from our adventures lately....

The Many Faces of Libbie Love!

Libbie has so much personality and I just love it!  Here are just a few of her many sweet, funny faces:
BBBBBBSSSGGGGHHHHHH (I'm not really sure how to spell that raspberry sound but I hope you know what I mean and giggle when you think of me making the sound and trying to figure out how to spell it ;)
"Oh, I'm so cute!"
"No more pictures, please!"
"Cheese!"
"Hi y'all!"
Isn't she just the cutest thing ever!

FaMiLy FuN!!

According to Wester's Dictionary the definition (well first definition) of family is a group of individuals living under one roof and usually under one head.

If you look in the LuskKogerian dictionary you will find the definition of family as follows:
Family - an tight unit of people who unconditionally love one another, enjoy time with one another, biggest supporters and encouragers of one another, and can't live with out one another!!

We've had some fun family visits this summer and below are some pics of us enjoying our family time togetherness!

Red, White and Blue!

Today, we celebrated Independence Day. I'm so thankful to live in a free country!!! Thank you to all the men and women who are serving now and anyone who has ever served to secure and maintain our freedom.  God Bless America!

The past two 4th of July's, we spent in Boston on a roof deck over looking the Charles River listening live to the Boston Symphony Orchestra with the fireworks right overhead (thanks to our dear friends, Annie and Davis).  Now, while Georgetown was different and much more low key, I still had a wonderful time watching the GTown Pops Fireworks Spectacular with my sweet, little family.  We ended up going to Southwestern and sitting in the baseball bleachers with Libbie bouncing on my knee the entire time. Good thing we sat in the bleachers because right when the fireworks finished, the sprinklers came on and everyone sitting in the grass was running for their lives.  I have to admit it was pretty funny to watch but I was so glad we were not the ones getting soaked.

I hope you were able to enjoy time with your family and friends today celebrating our great county of America!

Swing to the RESCUE!

I cannot complain one bit...Libbie is a great sleeper.  She sleeps through the night and loves to see me in the morning.  She makes every morning feel like today is going to be the best day ever.

Now every now and then (and I really mean every now and then)...getting her to sleep can be a different story.  Again I can't complain, I just want to say thank you to Fisher Price for creating put-little-Libbie-to-sleep machines, thank you to The Millers and The Wests for allowing us to borrow these wonderful contraptions and thank you to the Energizer Bunny to keeping them running.

Sweet dreams to all and to all a good night!

First Father's Day

Yesterday, we celebrated Thad's first Father's Day.

Libbie loved spending the day with him.  We started off by cooking Thad breakfast in bed.  Libbie cooked, of course.

Then we went to church.  I sure love worshiping our might God with my husband.  Then my family came over to celebrate Father's day over lunch and an afternoon of golf/napping (all in Dear ole Dad fashion :).

We ended the day with Libbie and I cheering the Scattered Ninjas to a win.

What a wonderful way to celebrate Thad and his new adventure in life as a father.  I love that I get to be right there next to him.
Libbie loves her Daddy!!
